Funny side story: The Spanish King Pedro I loved the art and architecture of the Alhambra and had his palace in Sevilla built in the same style with the help of craftsmen from the court of Mohammed V in Granada. They took the opportunity to sneak in some verses from the Qur'an instead of poetry. So an "ornamental" calligraphic design covering a very prominent spot at King Pedro's palace reads: "There is no God but Allah"...
