My favourite photography links from the last year/this year so far. I've tried to sort them into categories but there's of course some overlapping. Anyway, here we go:

American Suburb X  [link] - lots of great photography, interviews, essays, articles, videos.
Shorpy Historical Photo Archive [link] - vintage photography blog with thousands of HD images.
The National Geographic's photography section [link] . Great inspiration and some handy "tips & tricks".  
File Magazine [link] - "a collection of unexpected photography" Full of unusual, funny, strange, amazing and inspirational eye candy.
Point of Simplicity [link] - a free online magazine with features, interviews and contests.

World Photography Forum  [link] - huge.

The Trashcam Project [link] - Hamburg's binmen teamed up with a photographer and turned a dumpster/wheelie bin into a pinhole camera.
Nick Brandt [link] - great photography, important message.
David Fleet [link] - Lots of beautiful images and a blog filled with articles on a wide range of photography topics as well as tips and tricks.
Ken Rockwell [link] - Tons of information, tips and tricks, e.g. camera recommendations for different photography levels/needs, a reference sheet for getting optimum sharpness and articles on how to improve your photos.
The Photo Argus [link] - lots of tips and packed with inspiration.
Naturography [link] - blog by Mike Spinak that also has intervies, walkthroughs and tips & tricks.
Photocritic  [link] - The blog of Haje Jan Kamps. A nice mix of tips & tricks, personal thoughts, stories and advice.

HowITookIt [link] - photographers explaining the setup/techniques behind their images.

Cambridge in Colour [link] - packed with tips and tricks focusing on technical aspects, e.g. explaining focal length & aperture, histograms, etc.

DIY Photograpy  [link] - lots of great ideas, e.g. "How to use Post-It notes for Rack Focusing", tips and tricks, e.g on "Light Painting", home studio tricks like "Separate your Flash from your Camera with a PVC Bracket" and tons more.
Strobist [link] - teaching you pretty much everything on how to use light to improve your photos.

Ethics in Photo Editing [link] - A blog discussing, showing examples and offering background information on the ethics and impact of obvious and not-so-obvious photomanipulation. Very interesting, well written and also funny.
History of Photography [link] - A short historical overview on the evolution of photography and cameras.
